The University of Minnesota’s Support the U program was created to build and engage advocates who care about the University and enlist them to promote its educational, research, and economic contributions to Minnesota and beyond. The program helps to raise awareness about the U’s legislative and congressional initiatives and policy issues that affect the University and higher education.
Faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, community members, and others are all active participants in Support the U efforts. As an advocate for the University, it is our goal to build and maintain statewide awareness of the value of the University, its prestige as both the state land-grant university and Minnesota’s only research university, and its significance as the key economic driver for the state of Minnesota.
